So you got 2 options 1 – Continue to translate what God thinks with your education tools, Library info, book worm data and diplomas
OR
2 – Exercise you senses to discern between good and evil. Hebrews 5:14. Understand scripture “not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spiritual-taught words”. 1 Cor 2:13
“Leave and Cleave” That is what we have been told God meant when He said Eph 5:31 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife and the two shall become one flesh”.
Option 1 translation: Leave and cleave is to leave the first family unit and to start another. This new family unit takes priority. No matter what, no one gets in the way, no one gets in the middle of it and no one else is in control but the 2 newly married individuals. This is a union that no one interferes. What ever it takes you guard it even if it means getting rid of family and friends. This is the new family unit you are to build and grow. It is what God wants. It is what we want. We are to leave and move on to this new family beginning and cleave to our new spouse and put forth all effort to meet their needs and make them happy.
Option 2 translation: Well, 1Peter 1:10-12, 1Cor chapter 1-3 and 10 and 11 and Eph 5 speak of a higher order than option 1. When at 1st glance option1 may seem noble, it leads to self preservation. There is essentially no difference between the lost understanding of scripture and the saved. Also the divorce percentage statistics prove this fact. Option 1 was derived at via option 1 tools. What if we used option 2? What if we leaned on the Holy Spirit revelation of scripture. Oh I’m sure we all think that we are! I don’t say that demeaning. The concentration needs to be Holy, not noble. Here are some quotes:
The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.
Manipulation, fueled with good intentions…. Is still manipulation.
Most of the evil in this world is done by people with good intentions
Its endless, we can go on, but I think you get the point. Just because you have good intentions doesn’t mean you are right. Your good intentions rip you off because you are leaning on your own understanding. What we need is the Spiritual intent of God. This truth is only revealed through the Holy Spirit. Not you, or your education or all your books. We don’t need a higher IQ. This is spiritual. And option 1 holds this Revelation of Jesus Christ in the physical.
We have to follow Gods heart in scripture. Logic, Library’s, and IQ”s do not figure out Gods Word. Remember, we need the Holy Spirit to lead us this truth. What might that look like?
I will assume you were saved as a young person when you lived at the house. It really doesn’t matter. You would just need to examine your circumstance. The scripture bases we will be using is 1Peter 1:10-12, Luke 24:44-45, John 5:39, 1 Cor chapters 1-3 and 10, and 11, Ephesians 5, Ephesians 6:1, Hebrews 5:14, Rev 12:11.
Remember Ephesians 6:1 ‘Children obey your parents for this is right”? Good, this was Gods will for you as a young child of God. You were preaching to those around you and to angels, that you were a born again follower of Jesus Christ, when you obeyed that passage. It was as simple as that! You were narrating the fact, that you as a human being had been sought out by the Lord, through the Holy Spirit, had responded through faith in Jesus Christ’s atonement for your sin, and had been forgiven of your sin. That was such an amazing fact to you in the beginning, so you worshipped at this revelation of Jesus Christ. This newness of life had drawn you to also place yourself under the authority of Jesus Christ and to follow His Word. By following just the simple instructions in Eph 6:1, you were preaching the truth about salvation. That God Himself can bring a fallen young person into salvation by Grace through Faith. You preached, that you willfully, submitted yourself to your Lord and savior Jesus Christ every time you obeyed your parents. You may or may not have realized the testimony of Jesus Christ that God, through the Holy Spirit was laying to your account. This was and is the hand of God on your life. There are many more of these hidden testimonies in the life of a child of God, but we may have never realized their presence. At this point you and I had become a truth teacher. Through our obedience we were speaking the truth. We were prophesying what God says happens to a born again Christian. This speaking of Gods truth through your life, is so amazing, that 1 Peter 1:10-11 says, even the Angels are in amazement over this truth, God has preached, through the Holy Spirit, in you, as a young person. This is the same thing that has been going on sense the beginning, of all the prophets, truth teachers, and you are one of them, Thank you Jesus!
There are many examples of this prophetic type narration in your old testament. As matter of fact if you had read 1 Peter 1:10-12 you would have realized that God said all the prophets were and are in this order. Jesus went further and said in Luke 24:44 that not only the prophets but also the Law and the Psalms are in this order. All of it! Then in Luke 24:45 He opened their eyes to the prophesy or the Revelation of Jesus Christ that the disciples did not see. Maybe your eyes are being opened to this revelation? Jesus taught Jonah was in this order, Moses was in this order, Abraham was in this order, David was in this order, All the prophets, from Abel to Zechariah were in this order. Jesus went on to say that He would send some and they will also be in this order. May I ask you a question? Did He send You? What order are you in? Hebrews 5:14 says this is how we are to understand scripture. Your Bible is not a bunch of miscellaneous stories. They need to be in this context. This is the line of demarcation between the old and the new man. This is the testimony of Jesus Christ that can be discerned in the life of a follower of Jesus Christ. This is how you and I can examine ourselves to be sure we are in the faith. To be sure you preach the truth. When we sin we don’t loose our salvation. What happens is, we don’t preach the truth. Satan uses that opportunity to blur the lines. Lend opportunity to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. This is how we discern the Holy Spirit active in our lives, as a fact and not as a feeling. That is how we were told to discern this good and evil, Hebrews 5:14.
Then God brings along your spouse, in this Christian life. And it is time to implement the institution, “Leave and cleave”. Leave what? Cleave to what? Well if you had been translating scripture the way God said, if we had been discerning this good and evil, if we had the Holy Spirit leading us to all the truth, all the heart of God behind the stories, if we had been extracting the Revelation of Jesus Christ instead of sensationalism, we would get “leave and cleave”. It might be a good time to re read the beginning of this article. Leave and cleave are instructions just like children obey your parents. Black and white words of instructions. In there simplicity, it is just real simple. Even lost people get it! Do you translate scripture like a lost man? But we have learned that the simple is the beginning of something big, a Revelation of Jesus Christ. The truth being spoken. How about you leave the first state of prophesying that you are a child of God and you place yourself under His authority and cleave to this new Revelation of Jesus Christ that is seen in the marriage union. That is what you are signing up for. Its not option 1. Option 1 is a Christian on a bottle or a lost man. 1 Cor says you have not been comparing spiritual with spiritual, so you have turned God’s word into worldly wisdom. What you have concocted, It may sound real smart and real noble, but it is a lie from the destroyer. Actually, satan has blinded your understanding, so you will not preach the truth, God has designed, in the marriage covenant. All you got to do is examine yourself in this order. How is it going? Lets see, does 1 Cor 10 make sense? As you were growing up you managed yourself to appear as a woman and a man. No confusion, no blurring of the lines. All that is a satan concoction to stop the Revelation of Jesus Christ. So the woman looks like a woman and the man looks like a man. It is not legalism confusion or long hair debates of the educated genius. Let me ask you a question? Does the church need a blood covering? Yes! Does Christ need a blood covering? NO! Remember we are narrating, preaching the truth about Jesus Christ. And now the narration is TWO becoming ONE. Does that thought drive you to realize your relationship goal God has for you and HIM? This leave and cleave story is growing into a full Revelation of Jesus Christ and the Church. Isn’t that what your Bible says? So are you ready to leave the things of a young person, under authority, that looks like the man and looks like the woman God created, and put full effort into the opportunity God has brought before you? To write the testimony of Jesus Christ to your account through the Holy Spirit revelation in your life? This is the hand of God writing on your wall, if you will! This is the Holy Spirit baring witness with your spirit that you are a child of God! This is what you and I have been looking for! This is a fact and not a feeling. This is Truth and not subjectivity! This is the call of God for you to leave and cleave to this Revelation of Jesus Christ He wants to lay to your Account. Leave and cleave to this new revelation God is the author. Option 1, you are the author. Option 2, God is the author. God does not produce filthy rags, wood hay and stubble. We do! Leave and cleave to the Revelation of Jesus Christ God has for you. Don’t be distracted and deceived by option 1, satans noble plan he has for you. You now know where to sew and what direction to sew, Option 2.
