Can you discern this verse?
If you use the “theological standard of how to discern scripture” you would use what is called EXPOSITORY TEACHING!
You might be told to get a reference Bible and look at the Greek and Hebrew words to get a better understanding. You would be going g down the wrong path. You can NOT come close to getting the Holy Spirit to tell you what this means based purely off this single verse!! Why? Because you would never be able to find a plant extract to cure a disease based upon the single observance that an insect ingested the plant meaning a human should be able also. Research is work. Work is required and the Bereans taught us all scripture complements each other as a strong foundation is a must to support any real weight. All scripture not only compliments each other a person can NOT interpret one verse to oppose another (this fact is most of the time not blatant verbiage that clearly opposes another but when the particular writer, time period, figurative language, prophetic narration and even the simple applications of deductive Godly characteristics might be misinterpreted causing the “look of opposition when it actually is NOT). An example of this would be the common worldly theological acceptance among almost all the different Christian denominations with the belief that the Holy Spirit was not in the Old Testament based of several wrong discernment as reasoned above. Most believe the Holy Spirit did not come because 1. Jesus said he had to go that another ( correctly understood as the Holy Spirit) would come. [Even though the “another” is correctly discerned the statement as a whole is NOT CORRECTLY discerned as though the Holy Spirit was not in the Old Testament. Proof: what are the gifts of the Holy Spirit? One is prophecy. A person must completely ignore all the Old Testament prophets being able to give prophetic stories and discernments WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT. WELL, THAT JUST COMPLETELY CONTRADICTS HALF THE BIBLE AND BLATANTLY GOD SAYING THE GIFT COMES FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT! How much planner does the truth need to be? What about wisdom, and miracles? Did Moses use Satan to part the Red Sea? Did he use God the Father? Did he use Jesus? Everybody would agree he did not use Jesus but, the truth is he did because Moses acceptance of Jesus is the blessing Jesus fulfills by his statement to the Gentiles as they had no clue how they would be able to do such things like that of Moses!!!!!
Expository teach err is need tomatos thrown at them! Ok, how about someone standing and just demanding correct doctrinal teaching!!!
