It is an excellent parable! If now you will read truthful stories in the same manner (PTN). Jesus has messages that feed, water, heal, and give hope to his children; but, 17 inches to a guy who doesn’t play baseball or coach baseball would see the analogy as just a mean, over restrictive, “rule thumping”, prejudice, hateful and special privilege for “chosen” individuals that demonstrates bigotry, economic barriers, social disorders, gender and racial missed opportunities for winners.
God set higher standards; they were set by the likeness of Jesus! Only Jesus qualifies to judge winners and losers. But, it is pathetic, ignorant, demonic, and shows a lack or complete disregard of responsibility to leave a pitcher on the mound who does not want to meet the rules of success.
