Romans 8,9,10 & 11 do not contradict this statement:

Jacob and Esau, the twin brothers of Issac their father, were born as all little babies under their earthly father’s protection in all respect. Both were of the same blood of Isaac with the same mother. Both were incapable as a baby to know right and wrong; but, their earthly father was passed down from Adam the responsibility of feeding, clothing, providing shelter and teaching (Deut. 6:6-9) him about his grandfather that walked the garden with Adam. Isaac was proud of both Jacob and Esau at birth for they were given to him as scripture says “a reward from him and like arrows in Isaac’s quiver (Psalms 127:3-5; Gen 33:5).

God designed fathers, as husbands, to keep their children focused on their dad. This prophetic typology of scripture is a representation of Jesus becoming everyone’s father as planned at the design of creation. God warns fathers in Malachi of failing at this task by saying, ” And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.”. There are a lot of homes, towns, cities, nations, and countries that have been struck with destruction! Fathers are to blame! Jesus, the crucified Jesus stood at the foundation of the universe before creating a single thing and put in his design or blueprints that nothing can separate his outpouring love and forgiveness that he has for his children that will be raised up and taught and obey. Just like he told Adam not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge, as a sinless man given a free will to love his father, God designed that Adam and his children would come from the same blueprint!

Adam sinned, but that did not change the design. What changed was Adam choose his children would be born of a different father. Jacob and Esau were from Isaac but of the devil (John 8:31-59). This is where the responsibility got really hard and serious. So, children tend to do what their fathers do (Rev. 20:11-15) and if children want to run away from their earthly father or heavenly grandfather they have the free will to do so. Jesus is always showing his love that supersedes that of horrible earthly fathers and gives each person everyday ample opportunity to knock and reach for their “good father” ( John 3:3). Life on earth is but a twinkling of an eye and your eternal heavenly father will give you everything you need for your life (John 3:16) if you just leave like Abram his bad wicked father, and trust in Jesus (Rom. 10:9-13).

Jacob and Esau did not wrong or good as babies, but Esau grew up despising his father and rejecting his advice that his twin brother received the same. Jacob took to heart what his father had instructed him, but with a free will Esau spit in his fathers face! Esau thought his father’s advice was worth less than a bowl of soup. Cain thought the same way and both recognized Satan’s full hand of discipline and “love from the devil” in their lives. Nothing came between either young man growing up except the hard-headed selfish acts of the child himself between the things a loving father offered each. Woe unto those who allow their lives to be ruled by Satan and only come to find out in heaven that they’re sour and fermented outpouring was used and bottled for sweet tasting wine that God turned to good, yet they relieved no credit for them actions in the process!

Fathers are commanded to rear up their children in the ways of the Lord; but the great mystery of Christ’s sacrifice makes way for all children to be adopted as grandchildren regardless of their father!
