I have a past post that talks about the 3 days interpretation. Read that posts first.
Now, in reference to the number 1,000 as to wither it is literal or figurative in the use of this number is important as well. It also is mis-interpreted the most! Why? It is a much bigger number than 3, so it would seem it has “more” significance. It really doesn’t, because this is a Decoder article. We just need to make absolute definitive correct use of this number like describing the days Jesus was buried in a tomb. He wasn’t there 7.5 days. It would be horrible to use that number.
So, lets get this number 1,000 discerned correctly. Synergy of scripture is how we do this. So, God owns 1,000 cattle on a million hills. That is not the correct verse. But, it is closer than the literal use of a 1,000 even with the wrong noun. The correct use is with the “hills”: God owns the cattle on a 1,000 hills. The figurative use of 1,000 MEANS A ” HUGE MULTIPLIER” . The actual number is NOT KNOWN, nor should be figured out because God is describing thru O.T. figurative language.
Watch the new movie, ” Arrival”. A word can have meaning different meanings because of not only different languages but thru different expressionary use of that same word. In 2 Sam. 18:12 you could substitute the number 1,000,000,000.00 ( 1 billion ) where 1,000 shekels is described as a whole lot of money in that time period. It needs to be much more to express the same “meaning” for today.
I can give you: Duet.1:11; Duet. 7:9; Isaiah 60:22; Psalms 84:10; Ex. 20:6; and maybe a “1,000” more but they ALL ARE MEANING THE SAME THING ( A HUGE MULTIPLIER)!
If the IRS writes you a letter and says you owe them 1,000 bucks veres a 1,000,000,000 bucks you absolutely would understand the difference and significance.
So, now add these two figurative uses with numbers in the bible when interpreting Rev. 20:1-6!!!!!!
And he overpowered and laid hold of the dragon, that old serpent [of primeval times], who is the devil and Satan, and bound him [securely] for a thousand years (a millennium); and the angel hurled him into the abyss, and closed it and sealed it above him [preventing his escape or rescue], so that he would no longer deceive and seduce the nations, until the thousand years were at an end. After these things he must be liberated for a short time.

It is synergy and correct discernment to understand “a HUGE MULTIPLIER” when seeing this number again! It is heresy to say it is literal unless you have some BIBLICAL PROOF!
OH, now find the ” literal 7 years” in scripture.
