Part 3 of 3:
Now that I haved shared what “seems” probably obvious about edification to us and the church; is there a bigger point and a bigger need? Yes.
The church must take the “obvious” they are giving us in their teachings and make it much, much “better”! God says heaven will be “better”. The old became “better” in the new.
How can the CHURCH make the TRUTH (the obvious truth it uses every sermon in a “better” way)? It is absolutely possible and is scriptural. Scripture: ( ” ” )- I will give you a parable first.
If you get in front of somebody and they tell you it is going to rain tomorrow, what do you think? Not a big deal, right. But, what if it happens? TV weather forecasters do it all the time, and get it wrong also. But, what if the “rain” is a metaphor I’m using to describe something much bigger and spiritualy prophetic? What if I called you in the middle of the night and told you to go check your living room because I had a dream it was on fire, 3 times? That is a true thing that happened with my mom and her sister a long time ago. That is a much bigger deal!
What about even a bigger deal? What about learning the bible in a way that teaches you how to see things “literally”? If the church gives us knowledge and MEAT it will happen! It says it will in the bible! So, how is it that what they are teaching is not meat? That is what it sounds like I would have to be asserting. Well, only kinda. Here is why.
When is the last time you went to church and something was said and you had a ” OMG! MOMENT”! When did you OMG all the way to your knee!?
When did the preacher say something like ” tomorrow it is going to rain” and the Spirit of God HIT UP SIDE YOUR Heart and Mind and you went OMG to your KNEE ( because you saw the metaphor meant the “BIG- BIGGER – HOLY JESUS” LITERALLY!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT IS WHEN knowledge and wisdom by God’s spirit makes the “word” COME OFF THE PAGE!
( Read that sentence again—
THAT IS WHEN THE KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM (nuggets) ARE APPLIED TO YOU AS ONLY IT CAN APPLY TO A CHILD OF GOD; AND THE WORD CAME OFF THE PAPER that the preacher was reading.
With this aspect can you see a difference that might happen if you were asked to pray for a friend or your neighbor? Or even bigger, you?
The church can read scriptures and tell us the meaning of parables and pray for us and so on. But, can it be “better” like what God really has them there to do? YES!! HOW??
It is by prophecy. Prophecy is usually thought of as predicting the future. Prophecy is usually thought of with speaking in tongues. So now your thinking, oh no, “speaking in tongues”, don’t go there. To be frank, speaking in tongues is like reading a parable and you don’t understand what God means!! It is some kinda blah,blah,blah in a forign language! You are simply being ignorant to understanding “IN PLAIN ENGLISH”! That is the same as somebody reading a parable and you getting the message of a lost person! Teaching prophecy is teaching scripture ” IN A PROPHETIC WAY”! NOT the common church way. Reading scripture or stories like Abraham and his son and not being taught the “prophetic story” is the SAME REASON WHY THE MUSLIM’S DON’T GET IT!
Have you ever heard the prables about: 1. Throwing seed? 2. Jonah and the whale? 3. The Good Samaritian? 4. David in the Lion’s den? 5. Moses going up the mountain and coming back with a veil over his head? 6. The crown of life? 7. Moses parting the Red Sea? 8. Adam in the Garden and in the 2nd garden? 9. Abraham and his son going up the mountain? 10. Abraham and the promise land? 11. The temple being destroyed and being rebuilt in 3 days? 12. Noah’s Ark? 13. The new Jerusalem? The dragon and dragon slayer? 14. The stars and the clouds? 15. The prophecies of old and the judgement of God?
16. The Trinity? 17. The tent peg drove into the ear of an O.T. guy- who was the wrong one?
18. Hundreds, more!!
Unfortunately, explaining scripture in simple parables like Jesus did in “plain english”, is why you didn’t get the “OMG to the KNEE” understanding I am trying to convey to you!
Here is the verse I left out at the begining of the page (” Hebrews 5:11-14″).
What does it good to raise the dead out of the grave if he has “no life”? What good does it to give a hungry man food if he can’t “get nurishment”? Why let a man waste bath water if he is “filthy”? Can a man drink water and still be “thirsty”?
Do you remember your OMG moment? The very first one? What, when, how crazy was it? Were there tears? Did you tell anybody? Did you celebrate? Did you document it? Did you take a video or a picture? Did you get a tatoo to remember that awesome experience in your life (that what people say tatoos represent-I don’t know-but a cross would be the first tatoo I think I would get)? Did you go in debt over your OMG moment? Are you still paying for it? Did you build a memorial to remember it? Do you ever mention it to anybody? Is it still the most OMG moment of your entire existence? Do you brag about what happened during that OMG when you recogonized you were so, so lucky; kinda like winning a million dollar lottery?
Do you set aside time to reminisce in that holy OMG moment? Did somebody come see your church OMG moment and you see Jesus in THE SAME WAY?
Maybe you do see Jesus EVEN BIGGER?
IF YOUR NOT SEEING HIM BIGGER—- READ AND LISTEN—– SOMEBODY IS MESSING UP!
The bigger, the better, the awesome, the OMG moment God says could be a lie if it is smaller.
The bigger, the better, the awesome, the OMG moment could and should be giving you POWER!!
If your not getting that POWER ( not some stupid self-induced junk, like “faith based” power being preached by many of these nuts on TV, I’m talking about real power from God like Noah, Abram, Moses, and others we are not growing! Each one of our biblical heros demonstrated how to defend against your own flesh ( sleepy boy), the world ( let’s go to the lake today and skip church), and Satan ( I have bigger fish to fry- he is taking care of himself just fine) or gave us examples of failure so we could grow from them as well.
A REVELATION OF GOD/JESUS/HOLY SPIRIT IS A MUST!!

If you have to go back to your first love you are being a disappointment to God! Rev. 2:4
If your sword is as small as the first OMG with Jesus how will you stand the times like Shem, Ham, and Japeth? They immediately get off the Ark, and WHAM!!!!
