The theologians have it wrong! We live in a period that is called:
“The Dispensation of the
Revelation of Jesus”
So, this week’s get “Scripturally Real” post is about that:
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
1 Peter 2:24 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/1pe.2.24.KJV
Read it twice or three times, maybe 10. But, when you read this and inject a quick discernment without researching scripture like a Berean you will have understood the meaning like most teach!
Why? Did you read another version of the exact same incident recorded by another disciple who also spoke about this in God’s word with complete discernment also? Did you read John’s (1 John 3:5) account?
“And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.”
1 John 3:5 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/1jn.3.5.KJV
Wow! Do you see a conflict? You should!!
I have heard a million times Jesus “took on our sins” literally! 1 John 3:5 says, “in him is no sin”!
Lets look farther, how about Matthew 8:17:
“That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”
Matthew 8:17 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.8.17.KJV
Now there is a HUGE problem with discerning a literal interpretation. When you find out that Jesus is fullfilling a prophesy (which is most of the time) you CAN NOT discern scripture correctly without reading the ORIGINAL CONTEXT of the SAME EVENT!
THE ORIGINAL: Isaiah 53:4-5:
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:4-5 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.53.4-5.KJV
Oh, but Romans 3:21 also speaks of this:
“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 3:19-24 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/rom.3.19-24.KJV
AND THEN WITHOUT A 1,000 word explanation of the meaning from all the scriptures AS A WHOLE (synergy principle) you actually find the answer written in plain english in verse 25:
Romans 3:25:
“Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;”
Romans 3:25 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/rom.3.25.KJV
God LITERALLY EXPLAINS ALL THE VERSES or accounts of Jesus being crucified and offered as a sacrifice (blood atonement) for our sins is a [[[[[ PROPITIATION ]]]]]!!!!!
It means it was NOT LITERAL! It means IMPUTED!!! It means God (took on the work required- which is always offering a blood sacrifice) in the first person (1 Peter 2:24) bare (bare in his own body— Jesus—- the second person of the Trinity in flesh) offering up himself (who is perfect– read the story of David and Bethsheba- a real story but also a typological story about what the Messiah would be- a perfect innocent substitute for the sin that we have committed– that baby died WITH NO SIN ON HIM!!!!– and what was the law during David’s reign? – a life for a life? reading Romans you see the mention of the law- research it- understand it– apply it to this event before deciding your understanding–the prophet Nathan used a parable about 2 men a rich man and a poor man – these also implied his confession now had the required 2 witnesses-now you just need a King over the King to execute the Mosaic law of judgement- 2 Samuel 12:13: “The Lord hath also put away thy sin, thou shalt not die”).
God delivered David because of an act of faith (he declared his sin to Nathan openly) and through the propitiation [[[an IMPUTED application]]] of a blood sacrifice he would be forgiven ( the giant problem here for David was living in the O.T. times and Christ was prophesied yet as a human perspective had not replaced the O.T. temple sacrifices yet; so, demonstrating the GRACE OF JESUS was always through prophetic typological events (here would be a great time to recognize what Jesus said when saying: John 7:6; it is yet not my time– THE REFERENCE TO WINE WAS 100% A prophetic typological reference from God about Jesus dying and his blood being spilled- great reason why they did not understand!!!!!) Then Nathan said, “thou shall not die” (well, if Nathan/God isn’t going to lie, SOMEBODY HAS TO DIE! So, the imputed demonstration of CHRIST HITS NATHAN FULL HEAD ON!!! His son dies who represents CHRIST!!!
YOU WANT TO KNOW ANOTHER NAME FOR JESUS would be this unknown name for this baby boy!!! Jacob means Isreal!!
This little boy’s name means: JESUS!!!!!
NOW WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE LESSON HERE TO LEARN:
JESUS REPLACES THE BLOOD SACRIFICES WE NEED FOR OUR SINS!!!!
Scholars have termed our time period in which we live as the Dispensational Grace period. The above example is a great example of why someone would come up with such a term. But, did God’s grace change? Has God not always been as gracious as he was in Genesis? Yes!! So why the term? Because humans see with thier eyes and mind, not a heart like God’s ( or better Jesus’ until taught with alot of info). The entire bible and the existence of the human race is God (our Father/Creator) trying to mentally, physically (eyes & ears), and spiritually see Him totally (Elohim-Trinity). We just can not take all that in at one time; but God does tell us we can learn the deepest thoughts [ 1 Chor. 2: 10 ] about him through the process outlined in God the Father- God the Sacrifice- God the Holiest Being). It takes the whole bible and it takes a “DISPENSATION” OF UNDERSTANDING, by our carnal hearts changing everyday through sanctification. The prophets saw these things and understood these things [[ 1 Peter 1:10-13 ]] yet “STILL WISHED TO LIVE DURING THESE TIMES”!
So why did the baby literally and figuratively die? [[ ♡♡♡♡♡ 1 Peter 1:13-24 ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡]]]!!
Because we are NUTS!!(V. 14 “ignorance”)!! David was NUTS! The people he ruled needed a man that was a sinner who saught foregiveness and worshipped God! God did not kill David, so his Godly leadershipcould still benefit the people! God took an innocent baby for the peoples’ benefit!!!
God took the innocent baby for David’s benefit!!
We killed baby Jesus! Are you guilty of that? You aren’t getting to heaven if you didn’t!!!
And our lust as when we were lost still in us! So, are you nuts also? Yes you and I are nuts and ignorant and need all the help we can get to learn and recognize JESUS for all he is worth!! The baby died because you and I are just an ignorant, stupid filthy rag like David! We actually are to blame for that lesson you could say as well!!
How did the theologians get it wrong? Because right there God used the “grace of Jesus” to forgive him of his sin and that grace spilled over even to those whom David ruled. Thus Jesus’ grace was in the O.T.; I could even go all the way to Genesis now!
Verses 13 & 14 tell us this IS NOT A TIME PERIOD called the dispensational “grace” period BUT the DISPENSATIONAL “REVELATION OF CHRIST”!!!
“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
1 Peter 1:13-25 KJV

Thank you JESUS!!
P.S. I have replied with comments below which should be read for a different explanation I believe will help.
