The “Speed Limit Sign”

The “Speed Limit Sign”

What does any person see (interpret) when passing a speed limit sign?

1. The need to know there is a law being advertised!

2. The recognition the number could have changed and now this number is the “enforced law”!

3. An officer of the law might be near and writing tickets for violators.

4. It will cost a lot of money to disobey that information.

5. If a person goes very fast over the speed limit posted they might go to jail.

6. A judge might be required to be seen if the person gets into a lot of trouble.

7. If the person has other problems with the law, he might not only get a speeding ticket but other situations or an arrest with other problems.

Now, from a Christian’s perspective:

All of the above 1 -7.

Plus +

8. God doesn’t want me to break the laws of man.

9. God may become displeased with me if a police officer has to pull me over.

10. Is God looking at other laws I am breaking or is he trying to protect me by warning me of the speed limit?

11. God wants me to be an example as people in public must know that I am a Christian example.

These 4 added thoughts that a Christian could have can not be viewed or seen when non-Christian looks at the very same speed limit sign that a Christian looks at. Think of all of these thoughts numbered as “VEILS” removed from visualizing a “speed limit sign”. When a lost person reads the scripture he can NOT SEE THE EXTRA INFORMATION like in this example that God is trying to reveal in his message. So, if a lost guy reads a story in the Bible and you do NOT SEE SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN HIM, BE ASSURED you are NOT DISCERNING SPIRITUALLY!

YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO PEEL OFF MORE VEILS THAN A LOST GUY TO get a revelation of Jesus DEEPER than a lost-guy!!!!!
